Afterword (1997 edition)

In early 1994, after giving testimony at the sentencing phase of Danny Rolling's trial, Robert Lewis was moved to an undisclosed location where he is now serving the remainder of his sentence.

Danny Rolling was given five death sentences and is now appealing those sentences while enjoying a measure of fame.

Rolling's now ex-girlfriend, Sondra London, is selling Rolling's stories, his art, and even his autographs.

Sonja Larson, Christina Powell, Christa Hoyt, Manuel Taboada, and Tracy Paules have slipped into relative obscurity, most recently having been identified in a network news magazine broadcast about Rolling and London as "four women and a man."

Afterword (2000 edition)

In July, 2001 Robert Lewis died of natural causes in a Minnesota correctional facility where he had earned the respect of both inmates and corrections personnel.

Danny Rolling's sentence is still under appeal as he still enjoys a measure of fame.

Sondra London has ceased selling Rolling's stories, art, and autographs and has taken down the bulk of her old website.

In Gainesville, a memorial has been dedicated to Sonja Larson, Christina Powell, Christa Hoyt, Manuel Taboada, and Tracy Paules.
